Help plan my fishing trip?

Ok, I have 16 now, but my birthday is at the end of the year, so I get my license and be starting my senior year in high school, the rest of the school has absorbed almost what I want to do something amazing that I will be able to remember and look back. something I decided to be a weak long fishing / camping trip and I Nead some suggestions on where to go, I live in new jersey old bridge (T for north-central) and I really do not want to drive more than one and a half to get there. I'm looking for a place that could perhaps Kyak to Portage and then around to different lakes and such.I mainly want to fish for bass, trout, fish, things like that. Any suggestions?

You have to go to the Adirondacks. Today, traveling back from PA to VT, I got some awesome information on fishing, kayaking, canoeing, in the "land northward." I spent two days there last week and it was fun. Is only about 6 hours from where you live, and is the most beautiful thing I've seen. Here is a link to the Ausable River. Despite that it is Fly Fishing, which still has great information. Do not bother with the East Branch Ausable for fishing, although I hear it's good for kayaking. The West Branch is where we find the trout. Stays near Keeseville, and be able to go to Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks from the same place. There is much information so for the Adirondacks, I suggest you do some more searching. In addition, cascade lakes were impressive, they happened during the trip to Lake Placid. Do not come in a google search, look at a map. No motorized boats allowed, and were full of trout!
