Any animals i should worry about Alabama?

I'm going to Alabama some time to visit my friend. He said there is a lake near his house, and love i swim, even when it's freezing outside. Is there anything I should worry about such as crocodiles, venomous fish, things like that?

There four venomous snakes in Alabama, the coral snake, cottonmouth, rattlesnake and copperhead. The brown recluse and the widow Black are in Alabama and are poisonous. Black bears are only found in southern Alabama. The American crocodile is found in Alabama, especially southern Alabama. Eastern Pumas are in Alabama, on throughout the northern part of the state. Sharks have been found along the Gulf Coast of Alabama. I have traveled to Alabama, and have never had a problem with one of these animals.
