Funny Fishing Hats
Fun ideas/activities for an 8 year old boy's birthday party?
There will be no other kids at the party, just him and about 7 adult relatives; this is the “family” party. It’s a surprise Spiderman themed party and we have lots of decorations, balloons, gifts, food and I’m having everyone wear funny hats and throw confetti/streamers/poppers and use noisemakers when we show up to surprise him.
This is a fun group of people who have no problem being silly and acting like kids, but all we have planned so far is making balloon animals and I made a fishing game with magnets where he fishes plastic spiders out of a tub of water for prizes like at a carnival.
We play board games, go swimming, play sports, etc. normal stuff like that all the time so I’m looking for unique, exciting things that will make this birthday memorable for him, but I’ve already spent a good amount of money on this party so nothing too expensive. Thanks for any ideas! 
maybe you can set up some fake targets in the house- like draw pictures of people needing to be rescued by the hero and tape them high up on the walls and different places. Then give your players special web makers (silly string) and whoever can hit all the targets the fastest wins. Maybe some of them are boxes with a hole cut in them, with a picture on the front, and they have to get the string in the whole...to make it more challenging. Have the adults play a round, and then let him play a round- he'll get a kick out of seeing you all compete too.
