Where should I go in the Dominican Republic in August 2010?

Going with my girlfriend who wants top quality diving and I want top quality fishing. We will be on a tight budget so backpacking or cheap accomodations are ok as well. Vacation rentals would work to if they are under $100 per night. additionally, if there are any surf spots that would help as well. Thanks for your help~!

Just contact exel.service@yahoo.com , they have all what you need (hotels, diving spots, and much more) for reasonable rates. They can go with you to Punta Rucia, the best diving spot in the D.R.
