Kayak Fishing Rod Holders

Kayak Sit on Top vs. Sit on kayak?
Looking for a Kayak but I'm not sure which model to go with. New to kayaking and looking for a tandem kayak be used in lakes and rivers and possible other things, the coastal recreational fishery are not sure which way to go. Just will not work. Require a tandem kayak or go with the canoe (not a big fan of canoes) Need for multiple uses for the family, but preferably fishing whenever possible. Can you go suit the recreational model, but if possible - not simply add a rod holder. You want it to look fresh. Be used in lakes - small river and the possible things coastal South Carolina. Any help is greatly appreciated. Aware of its budget so please do not .. Hobie answers. I'd love to have one if could. I can not. Has anyone heard of Crescent Kayaks? If so, I'm looking for real comments. Thanks
In fact, I rented a Splash One while on vacation in the Caribbean to explore a mangrove swamp - not bad (although more slowly and less than any of my manueverable closed cockpit sea kayaks for course.) rowing seat and were reasonably comfortable position. I would not want to use in cold water or heavy chop, however. And it was slow to rowing, especially when the wind began to blow. But I imagine it would be nice to sit and fishing in calm, warm waters. The weight is 2 Splash pretty good for a boat in tandem and is quite compact. Can you stay at # 500 with the capacity of three family members? This type is based on a comparison of four models: http://www.shortypen.com/boats/kayak/why/index.htm It seems that not be a bad choice for you and the price is certainly decent (depending on what you nail in the transport of goods - I always recommend that people purchase new kayaks trying to order through a local operator rather than online - most shops can match the price line on tax sales will be lower than freight and usually get a discount on a package of accessories, such as PFD and shovels.) As beamy and high audience as the boat is, make sure you buy a paddle at least 240 cm, perhaps even more if you are tall. And get yourself a palette well no, one of the cheapo metal anchors boat shaft. Go to a shaft of glass fiber and thin - much easier, less tiring and paddle faster - money well spent. And with the boat, just make sure not store in the bottom flat (which rests on the side or hanging from slings) to avoid the dreaded "oil can" dent in the hull. As to "see well "- I admit I'm biased, and these fish" barges "never look cool to me (which are parallel to the mini-vans in the car" coolness "category.) They are a step up from an inflatable pool float, but it is really difficult to take into account those of a real kayak (the low, fast, sleek boats carrying Eskimo as extensions of their bodies to hunt marine mammals in polar waters). Maybe if you cut plastic and painted to look like a crocodile or a shark - then Would be cool funky.
