Trout fishing in a small stream or water varies greatly from one day to a lake or a river wide. Most differences are in the form of the size and texture of the species of fly, but they are certain details that are overlooked. These are the first four strategies overlooked when it comes to Fly Fishing small streams.

Do not prejudge the size
Often people tend to think that the smallest of the river more bait. This is not necessarily true. Last year, during a fishing trip with one of my friends who is a dry fly fisherman in circulation, I am reminded of this valuable lesson. During this trip, we would fishing in a tributary of one of my favorite rivers. Over time I see people try to match the current food too.
