I love fishing .. but never catching fish. everyone around me is catching fish. How to catch fish!?

I do not know what is wrong. I want to know how to configure it (lead, slide shots, leader, hooks, etc) for freshwater and saltwater. Besides, what baits / lures I use, and when and where I fish (fresh and salt). I started fishing 2 years ago and I only fish caught in the rain. In my "Fishing for Dummies" book, said that even if you do not fish a lot, you get something. but I have not caught anything on normal days. What should I do?

just try this - Bobber (Any size) + hook (relatively small) + worm (third part of the night crawler or a river full of small worm size) and see how it works ... make sure you are fishing in the right place ... not as bound in the section of the lake / pond.
