Steelhead Fishing Oregon Coast

Along the southern coast of Oregon will find miles of beaches for public use and the many beautiful state park and RV parks within walking distance of the Pacific Ocean. From Umpqua Lighthouse State Park in the north to Port of Brookings Harbor Beachfront RV Park, not far from the border state California has a lot of camping options. After camp you can tour historic lighthouses, hiking scenic coastal trails, surfing waves, explore tide pools, or relax on the beach.
With a stage dominated by towering dunes and a lighthouse, Umpqua Lighthouse State Park provides a good camping near the lake Marie freshwater impressive. You can fish, paddle a canoe, or enjoy swimming in a small sandy beach. You are also right next to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
Are you familiar with yurts? They are reserved for soft-sided round huts. Many Oregon state parks have them, but Umpqua Lighthouse State Park offers six "luxury" yurts with kitchens, refrigerators, microwave ovens, televisions with DVD players, and bathrooms and showers to sleep seven. This park has 20 sites, including the full RV connection. Only two miles away is William M. Tugman State Park. More campsites available here, including 16 yurts scale. Unlike Marie at the lake that only allows navigation without motor, brush-lined shore of the lake has Eel steep underwater slopes perfect for fishing vessels under and under. The lake has a good population of largemouth bass and other species, including crappie, rainbow trout, rainbow trout and coho salmon (which must be released).
Further down the coast to know one of the most picturesque places Oregon Coast at Sunset Bay State Park. It has high sea cliffs and inviting, sandy beach along the bay. A series of trails connecting Sunset Bay with nearby Shore Acres and Cape Arago state parks. Walking along the paths that allow you to experience spectacular views of the sea from high sheer cliffs with views of Gregory Point and the Cape Arago lighthouse.
If you prefer less saturated camping continue south to Cape Blanco State Park. It has extra-large camping, private, protected, hiking trails and places of interest of a nineteenth century lighthouse and historic Hughes House. Riders love this park, you can bring your horse and enjoy seven miles of trails and facilities at the horse camp.
Phoney Mountain State Park, which includes one of the highest promontories Oregon coast, Humbug Mountain towers at 1756 meters, camping and enjoying some of the hottest in the climate of Oregon coast due to the protection of its surrounding terrain. The most popular activities in this park are off windsurfing, diving and hiking in particular to the top of Humbug Mountain.
Harris Beach State Park is also very picturesque and sandy beaches interspersed with eroded Tues batteries will waiting to be photographed. The park also has plenty of opportunities to observe marine mammals with the gray whales on their winter migration and spring, seals and California sea lions.
The southern Oregon coast is truly spectacular. Camping sites and lighthouses mentioned are some of the most picturesque and popular, but there are plenty of other public and private camps in the region waiting to be discovered.
