fishing need help !!!!!!!!!!!!?

i have an 11 foot rod pflueger reel its used to have some good red line but its all gone now so i went to my locas bait shop and bought some red cajun line 17 lb test i put about 200 yards on there and i fish paylakes so do you guys think 200 yards of 17 lb test is enough or do i need to buy some heaver line plzzz help i dont want to hook a big fish and the line snap?
i have the drag where its hard to come out but just easy enough where the line doesn't break hope 17 lb does going to a pay lakes this weekend

17 lb should be just fine.
